Feel that winter air? I've been absent lately (I'm sure the fate of most blogs is abandonment so I'm in good company), but the cool winter air has inspired me to try dropping a few things around again. Maybe something more fun than keys this time, you know... something someone might be more likely to take home with them without being time consuming to make.
In the mean time, I mentioned previously about working on a resources list. Well, I've only worked one pattern for this project so far, but here's the free pattern I used:

White Key all set!
Been really busy lately. But I left the white key for people to find. :D
Now to crochet more fun things to leave all over the place!
I plan on doing a resources list soon enough, since I like to use free patterns and stuff.

Red Key is all set
Yup, managed to find a place for the Red Key of Silliness, here's hoping it doesn't rain tonight. And that it doesn't blow away. Probably wasn't the best day to do an outdoor drop, but hey, I work with what I can get.
Four Keys
I've crochet four keys in different colors to leave about so far. I've already placed the blue one, and I just need to get a picture of the other three and find a place to leave them. All the keys will have the web address to their post attached, so hopefully someone will find them and follow the link to the info page.
White Key of Serenity
As you pick up the odd white key in front of you, a strange sort of peace surrounds you. As never before, you notice the quiet beauty of things around you. A tree, the sky, a paper clip...
Beauty is all round us, and finding the White Key of Serenity requires you to slow down and notice them for a change. Take a deep breath and find that calm part of you, so long neglected. Watch a sunset, study the shifting patterns of shadows created by the trees, smell the roses.
Peace and time to really see the world around you is often forgotten in the rush to get things done. If you haven't slowed down in a while, try it. You might be surprised at what you find.
Red Key of Silliness
Staring down at you is a red key. You are intrigued and reach out to take it. As your hand closes upon the key, you feel the sudden urge to do something silly.
If you found the Red Key of Silliness, you are now contractually obligated to do something silly. Well, maybe not, but you should do it anyways. Anything will work. Stand on your head, wear fish slippers. Just do anything silly or out of the ordinary.
If you didn't find the Red Key of Silliness, feel free to do something silly anyways. It's fun and probably good for you.
Black Key of Kindness
The Black Key of Kindness dangles from your finger tips, blowing in the breeze. A peaceful calm comes over you, along with a desire to help others.
Finding the Black Key of Kindness means that you should now do something nice for someone else. Hold the door open for a stranger, donate something, even just share a smile. Even the smallest kindness can brighten someone's day, and maybe even cause a ripple effect. People helping people, who in turn help people.
If you haven't found the Black Key of Kindness, there's no reason you can't still do something nice. Kindness is its own reward.
Blue Key of Craftiness
Sneaking through the trees... No, not that kind of craftiness!... Sheesh, keep your shirt on!
Congratulations! Finding the Blue Key of Craftiness obliges you to try something craft related. Knit a wrist warmer, crochet a scarf, build a house out of popsicle sticks. Try something new, rediscover something old. Just have fun and do something creative.
This can apply to everyone, even if you didn't find the key. Go out and craft!

Introductions are in order
Hello, and welcome to my humble blog of, well, attacking Ohio with crochet. That's right, any chance I get I'm leaving small crocheted objects around just for the heck of it. This blog is a way of keeping track of them and a place to point people to when they find my random objects.
You might not get it and you probably don't care. Well, that's fine with me. While I've admittedly got vague hopes that I can spread a little interest in crochet in the process, I don't expect everyone to get it.
